　　Why does the sun go on shining? Why does the sea rush to shore? In the throes of a broken heart, it does indeed seem like the end of the world. For Shinosuke, his unrequited love for Haruko continues, even as she runs to him after a break-up and leaves him when she finds another. And, like clockwork, the story repeats itself. Why are people his age so wracked by such blistering emotions? Director Kazama Shiori seeks to address this question by looking at love, life, growth and agony of twenty-somethings, treating them with the same sensitivity displayed in her earlier Rotterdam Tiger-winning How Old is the River?
